Goose, what's with the Cubs trying to ship Bradley off without even being on the list of clubs that's been inquiring about DeRosa? Wouldn't it piss fans off just as much if they just replaced Bradley with another guy they don't want? I think the list inquiring about DeRosa is bigger than the one about Holliday. Hopefully Holliday isn't stupid and just comes back to the Cardinals. Screw Scott Boras. He can spin it all he wants about McGwire's training before the season being the cause of Holliday's crappy stats in Oakland. Keep spinning jackass. _________________ Last Five Games Finished: Fester's Quest (NES), Whomp 'em! (NES), Super Mario 64 DS (DS), Advance Wars: Days of Ruin (DS), Secret of Mana (SNES) |

Tim Lincecum beats out Chris Carpenter and Adam Wainwright for the NL Cy Young award. Lincecum won with 100 points while Carpenter had 94 points and Wainwright had 90 points. Wainwright had the most first place votes.
What a flying load of crap. As they pointed out on ESPN earlier before it was announced, you literally had to pitch a shutout to even beat Carpenter this year. The man should have won. Lincecum may have had the most strikeouts, shutouts and complete games, but he was also busted with teh marijuana after the season. Guess that didn't mean jack. _________________ Last Five Games Finished: Fester's Quest (NES), Whomp 'em! (NES), Super Mario 64 DS (DS), Advance Wars: Days of Ruin (DS), Secret of Mana (SNES) |

The midwest writers are to blame on this one. They split the vote between Carpenter and Wainwright, and the fact of the matter is Wainwright should be the MVP. _________________

Maybe he should have gotten busted with some Ganja after the season too. Maybe that would have gotten him a few extra votes from some hip voters. _________________ Last Five Games Finished: Fester's Quest (NES), Whomp 'em! Well, the Cubs re-signed John Grabow, this is not a move I will knock after seeing him in Pittsburgh and then with the Cubs, he seems to be a very consistant lefty. _________________

He is all world or universe for that matter. Anyone that doesn't see Pujols is the face of baseball doesn't watch it much. _________________

This just keeps getting funnier!
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic -- Sammy Sosa is being sued for $203,000 by a businessman who claims the former Major Leaguer owes him for commission on a house sale, among other things.
Carim Abu Nabaa alleges that Sosa has not paid him a commission of $150,000 on a house sale, $43,000 for a luxury watch and $10,000 for getting Reggaeton singer Don Omar to perform at Sosa's 41st birthday party.
In legal documents obtained by The Associated Press, Sosa has been ordered to appear in a Dominican court on Dec. 2.
Sosa played for the Chicago Cubs from 1992-2004 and became one of the league's most feared hitters. He also played for the Texas Rangers, Chicago White Sox and Baltimore Orioles.
Calls to Sosa's representatives in the Dominican Republic were not returned.
Jose Enrique Alevante, a lawyer for Abu Nabaa, told AP his client helped Sosa sell a $3 million house in the Dominican Republic and that he was owed a 5 percent commission on the sale. _________________

Silly lawsuit. Don't they know that Sammy used that money to become the (white) man he is today? It's no longer there. _________________ Last Five Games Finished: Fester's Quest (NES), Whomp 'em! (NES), Super Mario 64 DS (DS), Advance Wars: Days of Ruin (DS), Secret of Mana (SNES) |

I thought the money was used to hide all the cork he had stash. Maybe the cork made him turn white with fear? _________________

Looks like the Royals are entering the Milton Bradley Sweepstakes and offering the Cubs Gil Meche. _________________

Well, the Cards are waiting to meet with Scott Boras...but he's being Scott Boras and being slow as shit about it. He's going to end up screwing another player over with his dickheadedness.
Brad Penny signed a one year deal with the Cards.
Throw the Rays in on the Milton Bradley sweepstakes as well. They're thinking of offering a deal including Pat Burrell. WHY RAYS??? _________________ Last Five Games Finished: Fester's Quest (NES), Whomp 'em! (NES), Super Mario 64 DS (DS), Advance Wars: Days of Ruin (DS), Secret of Mana (SNES) |

The Nationals sign Catcher Ivan Rodriguez to a 2-year deal. I'm not sure if he's capable of getting us over the hump (or mountain in this case) but he should get us some more ticket sales at the very least. _________________ "If one is in Christ, they are a new creation. I wouldn't be so sure about that yet. Supposedly they're bringing Pudge in to be a backup catcher and to mentor their current one. _________________ Last Five Games Finished: Fester's Quest (NES), Whomp 'em! (NES), Super Mario 64 DS (DS), Advance Wars: Days of Ruin (DS), Secret of Mana (SNES) |

Well, that's a good plan as well. Hopefully our current catcher can actually stay healthy next year....... _________________ "If one is in Christ, they are a new creation. Old things are dead, behold; all things are created new."

I hope the Nats can turn it around. They were once a great franchise to take players from and now, no one will touch them. _________________

In other major MLB news...the Blue Jays trade Roy Halladay to the Phillies. The Phillies are also expected to send Cliff Lee to the Mariners.
World Series MVP Hideki Matsui signs a one year deal with the Angels.
The White Sox trade to get Juan Pierre from the Dodgers.
It's also going around that they Cardinals have offered Matt Holliday an eight year deal worth 16 million buckaroos a year. That's the biggest contract the Cardinals have ever offered a player. _________________ Last Five Games Finished: Fester's Quest (NES), Whomp 'em!
