| what a great weekend we've had already. Drew Breese throwing 6 TD's, AP going 180 yards (including a 60+ yard STOMP to put the game away,) Denver pulls a win out of their ass... this is why we love football baby! |

The Bears choked, Urlacher is out for the season, Cutler is going to be a bust and blame the wide receivers, Lovie needs to be fired for calling a fake punt on his own 30 yard line. _________________

about that fake FG... what... thefuck!?
Funny how some experts had the Vikings as 3rd in the division... because Favre isn't what he used to be. Yeah, they are right... he's not going to get us 250-300 yards a game and 3-4 TD passes... because this is the AP show and Brett is playing the part of supporting actor in this show! |

I was hoping the Bills would pull it off yesterday, but Brady was too much for them again. _________________

Cinci didn't just beat the Packers... they sacked the shit out of them! Every time I switched over to see what was going on... Rogers was getting up off his back. And then you have the Bears... I'll admit it... when I heard Brian was out for the year, I figured they were dead in the water. Looks like it'll be the Vikings and Bears fighting for the division this year. But I will say that I was impressed with Staff's ability to elude the pass rush at times for Detroit. He might actually do something in his career (when was the last time the Lions had a QB that did?)
But my Vikings look like a 2nd half team right now. Play a little cat n mouse in the first half, then turn it on in the 2nd half. |

Oh, c'mon now. You can't just write out the Packers like that. They could have tied the game up if the jackass doing the snaps wasn't a moron. Also, saying the Vikings and Bears are going to be fighting for the division...not unless Cutler's head is permanantly removed from his ass. He had a pretty good game this week, but it doesn't erase that abomination that happened last week.
The Pats still haven't gotten their mojo back either. Joey Galloway just isn't doing a damn thing to help them either. They don't wake up, we'll have the Jets as division champions.
Ahem. Saints. Super Bowl. Miami. It has been spoken. It shall pass. _________________ Last Five Games Finished: Fester's Quest (NES), Whomp 'em! (NES), Super Mario 64 DS (DS), Advance Wars: Days of Ruin (DS), Secret of Mana (SNES) |

Well let's look at the NFC North...
Detroit- not a prayer
Packers- couldn't stop a Cinci team that had only 17 sacks all last year?
That leaves two teams... Bears and Vikings. And although they didn't look very good in week 1, beating Pittsburgh does a lot to erase issues and help confidence. |

I'm not writing off the Packers yet, but Rodgers on the run is not effective. _________________

The Bengals really aren't all that bad now that Palmer's back. I don't think they'll make the playoffs but I think they'll be a pain in a lot of teams asses. _________________ Last Five Games Finished: Fester's Quest (NES), Whomp 'em! I agree Ro, but their achillles heel is going to be Benson. It's only a matter of time before he implodes. _________________

| But I wonder (goose) if that will happen this year? I mean the guy is playing for his career this season. If he busts, he's done! But if he has a huge year, he'll get a fat contract and other teams will want him as well. |

Man, the Lions are not as bad as I thought they were. But Knox and Bennett on Special Team have hopefully turned the tide for the Bears. _________________

Knox with a 102 yard kickoff return for the TD and Gould hits a 52 yd field goal, but the Lions aren't laying down here. _________________

Lions are showing a lot of future promise so far. Sure they aren't winning, but they are making games interesting.
Monday night... Vikings... Packers... Favre... Rogers... as the band Autograph sang; "TURN UP THE RADIO!" (I'll be at work... so I'll have to listen to the game) |

hoooooooly shit could you believe that game last night!? There is only one reason why that game wasn't a total disaster, Rogers kept getting back up.
Seriously, that game appeared at lot closer then it was. Take away the two mistakes in the first half (blown coverage and the AP strip) and that game is a total joke. |
